In the beginning of 2012 I was invited by the club
A Hebraica to redesign their trash baskets. They already recycled the garbage but they wanted to improve this system and also invest in education for the members. At the same time they wanted to change all the trash baskets inside the club.
I made three proposals with different directions that would meet their high standarts.
The first proposal was inspired by toyart. I thought about a fun trash where there is an area where a standart sticker can be stuck. This sticker could change dependind on the wishes of the club. Because the club hosts many differents events during the year, the trash could be personalized for each of this events, making the object more than a trash basket but also a decoration piece.
The second proposal is a bit more sober. A trash made of two sheets of metal, one overlapping the other, with a graphic appeal.
The final and chosen proposal is a trash basket that uses plybamboo as its material. Its design is inspired by the club that offers to its members a piece of nature inside of the city.
In the next weeks I will post the rest of the project development.
